Baling Wire
The baling wire has its traditional use in the farms from its usage in bounding the fences to bounding the bales produced by the early balers. The wire's typical use as a fix-anything material makes it a practical equipment not only in the agriculture industry but in most packing industry as well. In the mechanical world, the wire closely resembles or represents the mechanics, soft annealed wire.
As mentioned earlier, the wire served as a binding material for the bales produced by mechanical balers. Because these balers do not have the automatic tie feature before, the operators had to use the wire twisters first to twist the wire and then cut into the desired length and used to tie the bales to retain its original form after compression. Once tied, the bales are loaded and stored to a storage area. They then cut the wires when they would use the baled material already.
At present, many companies manufacture different kinds of these wires. Olympic Equipment for instance, has number product lines of the baling wire, which are of high quality and proven and tested to be excellent binding materials for densities produced by the balers. The company boasts of the consistency as well as the proper elongation of the baling wire. These characteristics make the wires produced by the company perfect for baling needs. The company also assures the consumers that wires are hazard free to prevent safety hazard such as the breaking of the wire and inefficiency.
Most companies now produce the baling wire in different forms ranging from annealed wire, galvanized, plastic coated, PVC coated, economical bale wire, loop tie, spool, straight cut and many others. Generally, the wires sold can be pre cut and looped in different fractional lengths to meet your baling presses' need. Then for the automatic balers, the rewound coils are also available in different coatings. For large or volume users, the formers are available which may be in a size of up to one ton.
There is also the Cut Baling wire that is in precut size as specified by the client for its use. The wires cut can be in its straight cut form or in loop ties form. Aside from being available in different lengths, the wires are also available in different diameters. The so-called galvanized wires are those that provide more tensile strength and resistance to corrosion because of their coating. This is excellent for bales that have to undergo a series of loading and unloading before use.
There are many kinds of wires serving different baling purposes and the kind of baling wire to buy depends on several factors. One of the factors to consider is the kind of baled material to bind and the kind of baler you are using since most auto-tie baler machine has a specified wire for use. Then you also need to consider the density of the material as different wires have different strength and durability. Finally, you also need to consider the conditions for the transport of the baled materials.
